Every year I go home to Montana and find a new spot to fish. I bought a cabin on a river that is one of the nicest fly fishing rivers in the U.S. but I still hack through brush and follow the streams up to places where nobody goes. This year, I found some massive bull trout in a place where nobody would think it possible. I started out catching little ones where nobody fishes and just fought may way up through a gorge where the creek levels out. There was a decent size hole in there and at the bottom of that hole, I found my pay day. Later that week, my grandfather let me in on a few other secrets. It’s like finding treasure!
