I would say they would be better than your boots, but not as quiet as wool socks.

Great thoughts on the stalk sock too. I’m not a bow hunter yet but just picked up a muzzleloader and have been pondering the stocking options. Have you eve tried or heard about using neoprene wading socks (like this http://www.amazon.com/NeoSport-Wetsuits-Premium-Neoprene-Water/dp/B003554EHC) instead of just thick wool? They seem like they would be quiet and maybe more durable and waterproof. Just wondering if anybody had experience or input. Keep up the good work!
